Official visit of the EMCDDA Director to Croatia
EMCDDA Director Alexis Goosdeel is visiting the Republic of Croatia this week as part of an ongoing series of official visits to the EU Member States.
Over two days, the Director will meet Terezija Gras, State Secretary at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Željko Plazonić, State Secretary at the Ministry of Health. The Director will also be received by Ines Strenja, President of the Committee for Health and Social Policy of the Croatian Parliament.
On this occasion, Mr Goosdeel will present to the Committee key findings from the 2019 EU Drug Markets Report,launched this week by the EMCDDA and Europol.
The programme will also include a visit to the Croatian Institute of Public Health, where Mr Goosdeel will discuss recent developments and cooperation with the Institute's Director Krunoslav Capak, along with EMCDDA Management Board members and national focal point staff. Also on the agenda will be a field visit to the ‘Vrapče’ psychiatric clinic, where the Director will meet professionals working in the departments for dual disorders and for treating addiction disorders.
