The EUDA will be organising a European Prevention Curriculum (EUPC) basic training course in Portuguese for Brazilian prevention experts from 17–21 February. The (online) training follows an expression of interest from Brazil on the occasion of the launch of the adapted Portuguese version of the course in Brasília in August 2024.
The Portuguese version of the course, adapted to the Brazilian context, was a joint initiative of the European Society for Prevention Research (EUSPR), the EUDA, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). It is one of three culturally adapted editions developed under the EUDA–COPOLAD III partnership and aimed at countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The first pilot culturally adapted training in Portuguese was delivered in 2023. Spanish and English versions have also been piloted, with five online training sessions held in 2024.
The EUDA facilitated the participation of Brazilian experts in the EUPC Training of Trainers course held in Lisbon in September 2024. This initiative helped ensure the continued delivery of EUPC training courses beyond the conclusion of the COPOLAD III project in March 2025.
