As part of the project “Synthetic Drugs 2050: Increasing EU Resilience”, under the Foresight on Demand framework, 4CF The Futures Literacy Company is collaborating with international partners — 4strat, RAND Europe, Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku – FFRC, AIT Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) — on a comprehensive foresight study exploring the future availability and use of synthetic drugs in Europe by 2050.

The project aims to:

  • Conduct Horizon Scanning to collect and analyse emerging trends and weak signals of change in synthetic drugs area 
  • Develop scenarios of synthetic drugs diffusion in Europe
  • Formulate policy, research and practice recommendations
  • Anticipate long-term health & public safety implications
  • Identify potential societal, economic, and technological impacts
  • Engage key stakeholders to enhance strategic responses
