The governance of the Xchange prevention registry
Xchange Review Board
The review board of Xchange meets once a year at EUSPR or the Lisbon Addictions Conferences in Lisbon and updates the evidence rating scores of existing or new entries in Xchange. It is composed of one member of the Scientific Committee of the EMCDDA, members of the European Society for Prevention Research, EMCDDA staff members and appointed experts.
With the increasing number of similar registires being set up in Europe, we envisage to establish a collaboration framework with them. Please contact us to get in touch evidence-Xchange[a]emcdda.europa.eu

The aim of this directory by Public Health France is to help decision-makers and local players to choose appropriate interventions to meet their needs, to promote prevention that is scientifically based and to provide a link between research and practice in the field.
- Blueprints for healthy youth development (USA)
Blueprints mission is to provide a comprehensive registry of scientifically proven and scalable interventions that prevent or reduce the likelihood of antisocial behavior and promote a healthy course of youth development and adult maturity. Blueprints is operated by the University of Colorado Boulder, USA. The content is available in English only.
- Early Intervention Foundation Guidebook (UK)
The EIF Guidebook provides information about early intervention programmes that have been evaluated and shown to improve outcomes for children and young people.Through a rigorous assessment process, EIF has rated the strength of evidence for a programme's impact and its relative costs. The content is available in English only.
- Socialstyrelsen: register of interventions for children and young people (Sweden)
Socialstyrelsen is the Swedish registry of interventions for children and young people. It provides a basis for statistics, research and evaluation of initiatives for children and young people in Sweden. It is part of the website of the National Board of Health and Welfare and is available in Swedish.
- Spanish Portal for Good Practices
The Spanish Portal for Good Practices is a tool for promoting the quality of interventions in the reduction of demand for drugs and other addictions in Spain that enables the identification and selection of quality programmes, facilitates their transfer and dissemination, as well as offering advice and training to the professionals who implement them.
- Programy rekomendowane (Recommended programmes, Poland)
'Recommended programmes' is a website dedicated to mental health promotion programmes, prevention of problem behaviours and addictions. It is published in Polish.
- Ungsinn (online journal of effective measures for children and young people, Norway)
Ungsinn is an electronic scientific journal on mental health interventions for children and young people, Ungsinn is published by the Regional Centre for Child and Youth Mental Health – North (RKBU North) at UiT – the Arctic University of Norway. It is available in Norwegian.
- NUBU (Norwegian Centre for Child Behavioral Development, Norway)
NUBU (Nasjonalt utviklingssenter for barn og unge) — The Norwegian Centre for Child Behavioral Development follows the latest research into practice and aims to help children and young people with serious behavioural problems, their families, kindergartens and schools, with interventions that are research-based, relevant, individually adapted and effective. The main website is availble in Norwegian but some information is also available in English.
- Databank Effectieve Jeugdinterventies (Database Effective Youth Intervention, Netherlands)
The Database of Effective Youth Interventions (Database Effective Youth Intervention) contains well over 200 programs for help with growing up and upbringing. These interventions have been assessed by an independent accreditation committee. The database is available in Dutch.
- Kasvun Tuki (Early Intervention, Finland)
Kasvun Tuki (Early Intervention) is a Finnish open source of information for professionals that disseminates knowledge and understanding of the methods found to be effective and are aimed at promoting the mental and social well-being of children and young people. It is available in Finnish, Swedish and English.
- Grüne Liste Prävention (Prevention Green List — Communities That Care — CTC, Germany)
Grüne Liste Prävention (Prevention Green List) is a database of recommended prevention programmes and provides an overview of recommended prevention approaches in the areas of family, school, children / adolescents and the neighbourhood on the basis of comprehensible criteria. Thesite is available in German only.
- Vidensportalen (knowledge portal in the social field, Denmark)
This knowledge portal gathers knowledge in the social field, about vulnerable children and young people, vulnerable adults and people with disabilities. It contains information on Danish and international research, evidence-based methods and initiatives as well as knowledge about implementation, effect and economics. Vidensportalen is currently available in Danish only and is run by the Danish National Board of Health and Welfare.
- Programi uredzadrog (National register of prevention programmes, Croatia)
The database of drug demand reduction projects in the Republic of Croatia's National Register of Programmes is a part of Croatia's 'drug abuse service portal'. At the time of writing, the registry is available in Croatian only.
