Den svenska narkotikasituationen 2024

Summary

The report mainly summarizes data from 2023, but also reports later data from various surveys. The report mainly contains data that the Public Health Agency of Sweden, together with several other authorities, reported to the EU's drug agency, EUDA, in 2024.

The report provides an overall picture of the drug situation in Sweden and shows, among other things, that drug use remains at the same levels as before. Approximately 4 percent of the population states that they have used drugs at some point in the past year. At the same time, drug-related deaths decreased by 30 percent between 2015 and 2023.

The Swedish drug situation is aimed at actors who work with drug issues at, for example, county administrative boards, municipalities, regions and non-profit organizations.
