EMCDDA-IPA7 Project Advisory Committee meeting

On 25 November the EMCDDA reviewed the progress made under the current IPA7 project, during its annual Project Steering Committee meeting with colleagues from the European Commission’s Directorate General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) and the Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR). On 7 December, the EMCDDA, the European Commission and the European External Action Service will discuss the current state of progress and future IPA activities with representatives from the IPA beneficiaries, during the Project Advisory Committee meeting.

The advisory committee is composed of two representatives from each of the six beneficiary countries (a designated project national correspondent and a representative from the Permanent Mission to the EU), as well as representatives from DG HOME and DG NEAR. The Delegations of the European Union (European External Action Service) to the beneficiaries are also invited to attend.

The objective of this consultative body will be to guide and support the implementation of the project, liaising with relevant government entities and partners, and to advise both the EMCDDA and the beneficiaries on project-related matters.
