Executive Office - Planning and performance monitoring and reporting traineeship (TR/2026/EXO)

Introduction

The trainee will be allocated within the Executive Office – the Strategic planning and performance management team (SPPMT), and the selected candidate will be reporting to the Team leader.

The successful applicant will be requested to perform the following main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support the review and implementation of a project management methodology at the EUDA by:
    • analysing current state: methodologies in use (PM2, others), identifying good practices;
    • reviewing existing templates, and guidance materials;
    • exploring how selected Agile principles could be integrated.
  • Support the identification and adoption of new data visualization methods and tools for planning and performance management activities – in particular, explore how AI-powered tools could improve content clarity and support the development of dashboards using Power BI, Excel or similar platforms.
  • Assist in the daily tasks and contribute to the overall work of the SPPMT, including revamping the dedicated HumHub space, assisting the work on the Single Programming Document (SPD), Consolidated Annual Activity Report (CAAR), annual Management Plan, quarterly performance reviews (QPRs), etc.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union, Norway or Türkiye. Candidates from other countries may apply.
  • Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by the applicable laws concerning military service.
  • Be physically fit to perform the duties of the post.
  • Have completed the first cycle of a higher education course (university education) and obtained a full degree or its equivalent by the closing date for applications. 
  • Have a thorough knowledge of oral and written English. 

General selection requirements:

  • A completed university degree, covering areas such as project management, information management/knowledge management, or data science/data analytics.
  • Advantageous: a completed project management certification.
  • Previous experience or knowledge:
    • in applying or supporting project management methodologies (e.g. PM², Agile);
    • in creating dashboards or visual reports using tools like Power BI, Excel or other tools;
    • with AI-assisted tools or automation to generate text, structure content, or support knowledge extraction.
  • Technological skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of/experience with Power BI and/or AI-assisted tools.
  • Analytical thinking: Ability to identify gaps and propose practical, user-friendly solutions.
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy in reporting, documentation, and following structured processes.
  • Innovative mindset: Open to new ideas and approaches to work.
  • Language skills: Excellent command of English (C1 or higher).
