European Drug Report 2026: note for readers of PDF version
This edition was last updated on 9 June 2026.
The European Drug Report is published by the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA) in a digital-first format. While the report was traditionally available primarily in print and PDF, in recent years we have moved towards complementary web (HTML) and PDF products wherever feasible, as part of our commitment to accessibility, sustainability and quality.
This approach allows us to:
- streamline production processes and reduce the time between data collection and publication
- improve accessibility by taking advantage of the strengths of HTML-based content
- enhance quality through the use of data-driven graphics and the reduction of manual layout processes
- support our open data objectives, as our digital-first products are built on open data technologies
- reduce our environmental impact by eliminating print production
- expand multilingual availability through more efficient digital workflows
- increase reach by providing formats that are more easily indexed and used by search engines and AI tools
- better understand user needs through enhanced web-based metrics
At the same time, we recognise that PDFs remain important for many users, particularly for offline reading, searching within documents and research purposes. For these reasons, we are fully committed to continuing to provide PDF versions alongside all of our digital-first products.
